A Little About Me: My Road

A Little About Me: My Road

I am a believer
Of Him who is Truth.
I’ve known of Him
Since I was a youth.

The road’s been long
And often diverged,
Of me running
While thoughts emerged.

My mind played tricks.
Truth? Hard to tell.
But I heard a voice,
Clear as a yell.

“Turn to the One
-The God who’s known
By the seeds of mercy
He has always sown.”

So this I tried,
I tried to do.
Disorganized,
From a skewed view.

You’d think I’d know
From valley low
How far my Savior
He would go.

To have me close,
To call me dear,
To stick by my side,
No matter the fear.

He did not leave,
He did not go.
He established himself
In my heart, just so.

He built it up
And claimed it true.
He started a fire
In me anew.

Words I’ve loved
Since when a child,
He took that love
And tamed my wild.

While He knows
What suits me best,
I’m thankful that
I’m put to test.

The valley low
I won’t forgo.
It’s where I’ll meet
The ones He’ll show.

I find a comfort,
A bliss of sorts,
To be Jesus’ feet,
Hands, cohort.

I do beseech,
I do request,
A message, a note
Of how you’re blessed.

If, in these pages
Rest you find
From words I’ve penned
Through gazing mind.

I will
Special requests consider
Of poems wanted,
My job is to minister

To those whose tongues
May not now know
The words to pen,
The rhymes to pose.
