Cope, Meet Hope

Often we cope
With a tell.
Sometimes a whisper
Or a yell.

Times are hard,
This we confess.
In many ways,
Trouble manifests.

In places hard
It’s not so easy,
Until we say, to Jesus,
“Free me!”

Know this though,
Without a doubt,
He’s not within,
And then back out.

He’s here to stay,
He knows the route.
To your heart,
Inside and out.

We cannot hide
From Him who knows.
The battles we’ve bore,
The scars we show.

So turn to Him,
Pray toward His will.
Watch Him light
The path toward that hill.

Where hope is found again,
Top of the knoll.
Because we on Him
Again did call.

We did not wallow,
Nor try it alone.
But chose the path
To Him that was shown.

Scripture References:
2Corinthians 4:17-18 For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory; while we look not at the thing which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal
