Magnetic North

We are warriors, clothed in the full armor of the Lord.
We wear shields and helmets, and wield double-edged swords.
He stretches forth in our soul, teaches our arms how to reach.
Our feet He has shod with His gospel of peace.

He helps us, you know, and daily He walks
The path of our conscience, the path of our hearts.
We pray He not stay us, but move us ever forth.
Be the call to our soul, be our Magnetic North.

He makes us to stand, girds our loins with truth.
His breastplate of righteousness, we wear it as if fused.
He gives us commands, we consider Him as our King.
We pine for the days every thought’s centered on Him.

We say, “Oh, Lord, Commander of mine,
Be on the lookout, to Your will I align!
“Please don’t stay me, but move me ever forth.
Be the call to my soul, my Magnetic North!

“By your salvation, I have known hope in this life.
Your glory has replaced what I once knew as strife.
“Your Sword I have carried; I have made it be felt.
It dwells in my heart, faith shields it round-a-bout.”

Boldly this day we’ll again stand with Him.
The battle cry is sounded; we can feel it within.

He is sending us out, and sending us forth.
He commands your attention
– Our Magnetic North!

Golden compass with North, south, east west marked

While the day still dawns, before things really go south,
Call on Him whilst you can. confess Him Lord, with your mouth.

The Father alone knows the day that is planned.
To everyone else, we tell you truly, that knowledge, it is banned!

And Ephesians 6:10-19
Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
