Mercy Hits A Home Run

“Mercy Hits a Home Run”

To all the teams,
Gathered round.
Loyalty, courage,
Hope abounds!

Some of you,
Have traveled quite far.
By plane, by boat,
The family car.

Do you know,
What is truly at stake?
These games,
Are only minute parts,
Of life’s wake.

Today’s little leaguer,
Tomorrows hope!
Can we fully,
Grasp such scope?

Jesus did,
He wrote the plan.
All other literature,
You can surely can!

Jesus said,
“Allow the little children,
To come to Me,
And do not forbid them;
For of such,
Is the kingdom of Heaven.”

Children,
And All Others included,
The child in you,
Is not excluded!

Stick figure with heart walking up stairs to cross

You yearn to hit,
A home run too.
Don’t be shy,
Just aim towards true.

Where grace,
Finds mercy on the fly.
Imagine that, You!
An apple of His eye!

His yoke is easy,
His burden light.
Now, truth be told,
In Him no night!

Only light,
And things made free.
He went to the cross!
(He’s our guarantee!)

Ah, yes! You are seeing it now!
How hope continues,
To crest somehow.
Come now, did you really think,
Eternal love,
Would leave you at the brink?

Woe to despair,
And things of that nature.
Love is at rally;
Jesus, Chief Legislator!

So free your mind,
From earthly matters.
Look to Christ,
And His Heavenly ladder.

Nervous? Don’t be!
Take one rung at a time.
You’ll make it with Him,
It will all be fine!

Just remember,
Don’t pack a thing.
Your name was written,
Before time stepped in.

He is preparing a place,
In his fathers house.
Attire is casual, ties are out.
(Okay, I don’t really know,
That last attire part!)
But the word on the street is,
Surrender your heart!
