Millennial Child

Millennial girl,
Millennial guy,
Often, as we walked by
You looked at your phone,
Averted your eye.

Ignoring pleas,
Ignoring cries
Of other’s tears,
Even of wells run dry.

Life, in a blink,
Slow motion,
Passing you by.

Who taught you such things,
Or did you on your own?
When a child,
By other’s children shown?

We miss you, you know.
Laughter echoes.
We know how swiftly
Our time here goes.

Did you,
As we walked by,
For a moment, hope,
Yet pretend a fly?
On the wall only,
Observers of him, her, I?

Oh Millennial girl,
Millennial guy,
No longer sit
Devoid of action.
We call you to join,
Exit the faction!

We welcome you back
With satisfaction.
Join arm in arm,
A chain reaction!

No longer as we walk by
Miss a plea, miss a cry!

Be ever-ready
With sonar scanning.
A new song sing,
Of hope planning!

Love of others
Centuries spanning;
Fan the flames,
A joyous dancing!

Oh Millennial girl,
Millennial guy,
Not just apples of our eyes.
Yet real,
Touchable still,
In hearts, in lives.

1Peter 1:14-16 Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ; as obedient children, not fashioning yourselves according to the former lusts in your ignorance: but as he which hath called you is holy; so be ye holy in all manner of conversation; because it is written, be ye holy; for I am holy.
Ephesians 5:1-2 Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children; and walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour.
