Word of Truth

Word of Truth

A Christian poem outlining God’s Word- the “Word of Truth”. Steeped in the power of God, remissions for sins. This poem speaks of the power of the Bible, the cross, God’s love.

Word of truth,
Word steeped in
– The power of God
– Remission for sins.

Let us not forget,
Nor be weary of
The signs, the cross,
His chastising love.

We believe we’re sealed
With the Spirit’s proof.
The promise, the hope
That we’ll be put to use.

His Word beats true.
In our hearts, He’s laid claim.
He promises action
When we pray in His name.

Don’t lose hope
No matter what draws nigh.
The end is in Him,
And this world, it is timed.

Remember to gather,
And to fellowship.
We are bound by His blood,
Given us as a gift.

The one thing I trust implicitly is God’s Word. I was first diagnosed with schizophrenia in 2000 and I lost faith in everything else. For 14 years I only read my Bible. Reading of my Bible was mostly sporadic but I believe in what Hebrews 4:12 says about God’s Word.

Scripture references:
John 14:13 And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper Than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder Of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner Of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
